Staying in the country side

When you hear the word “holiday” many people think of a beach with blazing hot sun and blue seas. But for many, sea side holidays are only part of it and there are many amazing holidays that can be had in the country side without a bucket and spade in site.

The Cotswolds is one of England’s most beautiful countryside locations and although a stay there may be expensive, the scenery is breath-taking. It is a rural area of south central England covering parts of 6 counties, notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

The Cotswolds has a lot of history with medieval villages and castles. If you enjoy walking, then this is the place for you. There is a 102 mile Cotswold Way walk that can be completed in sections and will give you a really insight in to why house prices are so high in this area. You can expect to pay half a million pounds for a 3 bedroom house within some of the popular locations.
